The design features a significant nod to history: on the back, a watermelon cut in a triangle shap symbolizing the colors of the Palestinian flag. During the 1950s, the displaying or drawing the Palestinian flag was prohibited by the occupation. As a creative response, Palestinians used pictures of watermelons as a metaphor for the Palestinian flag and to circumvent the ban. On the front, "Palestine" is elegantly written in Arabic using a distinctive typography.
